MANILA, PHILIPPINES – BLACKPINK’s comeback with their new EP Square Up is perhaps one of the most anticipated K-Pop comebacks this year. In just 24 hours, the girl group has already achieved several amazing feats and has broke some world records, including the most number ones on worldwide charts as well as certified all-kills (on Korean major music charts) for a girl group.
Now, one of the notable contributors to that success is perhaps the Philippine BLINKs (what the BLACKPINK fandom is called), and their continuous support to the YG’s first girl group, six years after 2NE1’s debut.
With that said, the PH BLINK community has decided to do a project to showcase a set of video ads on probably one of the most prominent and uncommon ad spots in the metro – SM Mall of Asia’s Globe Rotunda, also known as Globamaze.
The ad will run only on June 16 from 6PM to 12AM (GMT+8) only and will be displayed also alongside other ads. It is not clear yet how much the ad cost or how the project has started.
According to the mall’s official advertisement page, each ad that are placed on the mall’s advertisement spots can be seen by:
- 6,000 to 8,000 motorists parked at SM Mall of Asia daily
- 200,000 to 300,000 mall goers on weekdays
- 300,000 to 500,000 mall goers on weekends
We don’t yet know further details but we reached out already to the BLINKs who appear to have organized the project. We will update this story when we obtained further information.
Meanwhile, here’s a preview of the ad:
