MANILA, Philippines – One of the most awaited K-Pop event for 2018 has finally confirmed its return to Manila, with promoter All Access Production unveiling some fresh details regarding the 2nd MBC Show Champion in the country this year!
On October 28, fans will gather on Mall of Asia Arena to see K-Pop groups like EXO,, MXM, The Boyz, and the duo Hyeongseop & Euiwoong. Some of them are rookie groups, just like the first Show Champion staged in the Philippines on 2016, where fans gets to see popular acts such as BTS, VIXX, Astro, AOA and Gugudan for its 200th episode.
EXO seems to be the top act, and is going back again on the country only months after their “Elyxion” concert last April in the country.
Weki Meki is an eight-member girl group under Fantagio Music. Two members of the group, Kim Do-yeon and Choi Yoo-jung, won the first season of “Produce 101” in 2016 and has previously debuted in the project girl group I.O.I.
The Boyz, on the other hand, is a 12-member boy group under Cre.ker Entertainment while MXM is a duo under Brand New Music comprised of Im Young-min and Kim Dong-hyun, while also the duo Hyeongseop X Euiwoong under Yuehua Entertainment comprised of Ahn Hyeong-seop and Lee Eui-woong.
UPDATE on 2018.08.31: Added boy group Xeno-T on the lineup.
The event will be hosted by MC Kim Shin-young, who is also the current host of Show Champion program in Korea. MBC’s “Show Champion” airs every Wednesday on MBC Music channel in South Korea.
There’s no confirmation yet if these lineup would be final or there would be additional artists to come and perform.
